hi everyone.
i've owned about 5 hamsters in my life and this has never happened before.
My little girl, Snickies, has all of a sudden been losing her fur.
CHUNKS of it is missing.
The majority of her back is hairless and behind her ears and tummy, she just has patches left.
She looks old because you can see her wrinkled skin.
Is this just because she's getting older? (i got her 2 Christmas' ago).
Or is she getting sick?
I noticed one day that one eye couldn't open and there was some dark colored crust around it, it may have been blood, but I'm unsure.
so far, it has only happened once.
she's barely eating but drinking lots of water.
i have not changed her food, or her bedding to something different.
I wouldn't exactly say she's slowing down, but she's been squeaking more. Is she possibly in pain?
Has this happened to anyone else before?
I'm not sure what to do and I hate the idea of one day coming home, or waking up to find her dead. I know it will happen soon, at least that's how I feel.
I've also been giving her vitadrops in her water for the majority of the time I have had her, which is why I am so shocked to see her fur falling out.

anyway, if anyone can help me out, that'd be much appreciated.

In order to save our relationship i had to hurt him more than he has ever been hurt. does this make me selfish?
He cheated on me with her not even two years ago. She was his best friend he says. He has been hanging out with her again, and I have told him it is me or her. She is his best friend. I have told him to choose between his best friend and his girlfriend. Did I have any other choice? If i had said, sure, hang out with her, whatever, it would have grated on me. I would not have been able to trust him. I simply would not have been able to deal with it. But in order for us to stay together, he cannot ever see or speak to his best friend. We both know that this is reasonable. We both know that there is no other way. That they were the ones who made this decision. They decided to end their friendship when they first drunkenly fondled each other and when they let it go further and further.
He feels guilty. I am terrified he will either let guilt destroy us, or only stay with me out of guilt and thus destroy us even more.
Am I being selfish in putting our relationship ahead of his friendship? He is miserable. Because of that I am miserable.
